Joe Karl, Vice President of Business Development

Mr. Karl has spent the last 15 years in the healthcare field working with hospitals and physician groups all over the country in a variety of capacities.

Before joining Evolutions, Mr. Karl was a Regional Healthcare Sales Manager for Uarco Business Forms, covering an eight state region and well over 100 hospitals and medical systems. He also was responsible for several large national healthcare system contracts with groups such as the Daughters of Charity, Hospital Sisters Health System, OSF Health System, Amerinet and the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health System.

Mr. Karl spent the past nine years as a partner in HealthCom Partners, LLC, national healthcare company. As Director of Sales, Mr. Karl was responsible for expanding the sales efforts in the Midwest and eastern states and represented over 30 percent of HealthCom¹s gross revenue and margin. HealthCom was an Individualized Patient Communications company that developed customized patient statements for hospitals and physician groups and also developed the first ever patient Web portal to allow patients to view their bills online, make payments and view insurance payments and adjustments 24/7 utilizing the hospital/physician group Website. Mr. Karl also brings experience with hospital and physician group legacy software billing systems such as McKesson Corporation, Siemens, GE(formerly IDX) Medical Manager, Meditech and others.

Mr. Karl earned his BSBA Marketing degree from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) as well as the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).
