Barbara D. Puleo, Credentialing Coordinator

Ms. Puleo has 23 years experience in the healthcare field in various positions. For the past seven years she has been in the credentialing field. She has been with Saint Louis University Hospital where her responsibilities included over sight of the Medical Staff Office and delegated credentialing services for over one hundred and ten commercial payers. During her employment with Forest Park Hospital as Medical Staff Coordinator, she also managed the Deaconess Professional Group. These duties included managed care contracting and credentialing for approximately sixty commercial payers.

Ms. Puleo contracted with Select Hospital and developed the credentialing process to include policies and procedures. She has also managed an internal medicine office, which included billing, collections and managed care contracting. Ms. Puleo is dual certified by NAMSS: Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and Certified Professional Medical Service Management (CMSC-CPMSM).
